HypeNest in ChatGPT
Coming soon: the HypeNest app is not in the ChatGPT app directory yet. Once it is, you ask ChatGPT for short clips from a video link; HypeNest runs the project on your account, asks before it charges usage, and shows the finished clips in the chat. Until then, start the same projects in the HypeNest app.
What it does
Paste a public video link (YouTube, TikTok, X, Dropbox or LinkedIn) and ask for clips. ChatGPT starts a HypeNest project, checks its progress, lists your recent projects and tells you how much of this month's usage is left.
Connect your account
The first time ChatGPT calls HypeNest, it asks you to sign in to HypeNest and approve access. ChatGPT receives an access token for your account; your HypeNest password is never shared with it.
Confirm the charge
Before processing starts, HypeNest quotes the charge as a share of your monthly usage. ChatGPT shows you the number and starts only after you agree. A free first try still shows the confirmation, marked as free. A quote expires after 15 minutes, and confirming twice cannot start the same video twice.
Clips in the chat
Processing takes several minutes. Then ask to see the clips: a widget in the chat shows each clip with its thumbnail, title, length and score, plus a link to open the project in HypeNest.
Tools ChatGPT can use
- create_clips: start clips from a video link, with a clip style (continuous or smart) and AI effort
- get_project_status: status and progress of one project
- list_clips: finished clips of a project, shown in the chat widget
- list_projects: your most recent projects, newest first
- get_balance: usage left this month and your plan
Good to know
- Same plan and usage balance as the HypeNest app
- High effort needs Lite or higher; Max effort needs Pro
- Editing, downloads and publishing stay in the HypeNest app
- Disconnect HypeNest in ChatGPT to stop its access
FAQ
- When can I use HypeNest in ChatGPT?
- The app is coming soon and is not listed in the ChatGPT app directory yet. Until then, paste the same video link into the HypeNest app: it uses the same plan and usage balance.
- Does the ChatGPT app cost extra?
- No. Each new project draws from your HypeNest usage balance, the same as starting it in the app, and ChatGPT shows the charge before you confirm.
- Can ChatGPT publish my clips?
- No. In ChatGPT you start projects and look at the results. You review, edit and publish to YouTube or TikTok in the HypeNest app.
- What is the difference between continuous and smart clips?
- Continuous (the default) cuts each clip from one continuous part of the video. Smart joins two to eight fragments of the same story into one clip.
