Burned-in captions
Subtitles rendered into the video frames so they appear even when the platform player is muted, downloaded, or re-uploaded. They are a packaging choice, not just accessibility garnish.
In a HypeNest pass
HypeNest drafts captions on clip candidates. You edit wording, then keep them burned in for mute-first Shorts and TikTok. That is the same review pass as the cut — not a later After Effects job.
FAQ
- Are burned-in captions worse for SEO than platform captions?
- They serve watch time first. Search still needs titles and descriptions. Do both: burned-in for mute, metadata for search.
- Should I caption every word including filler?
- No. Tight captions match clip pacing. Leave “um” and false starts out unless they are the joke.
Try the workflow
