Glossary
Distribution window
The period after a long video publishes when short clips still feel timely and can route attention back to the source. Clipping a year-old news hit usually misses the window; an evergreen tutorial often does not.
In a HypeNest pass
HypeNest can clip a backlog, but timely episodes should be clipped first. Channel automation helps catch new YouTube uploads while the window is open. Evergreen sources can be re-clipped later without the same urgency.
FAQ
- How long is the window?
- Hours to a couple of weeks for newsy topics; months for evergreen teaching. Let the niche, not a generic rule, decide.
- Should I still clip old episodes?
- Yes if the advice is still true. Skip if the hook depends on a date, a chart, or a drama that expired.
Try the workflow
