Webinar repurposing checklist
Webinars are long, promotional, and full of moments that do not stand alone. This checklist is the gate between “we recorded it” and “we posted a clip of a customer question.”
Free to copy. Not a performance promise. Review every clip before publish. Direct publish is live for YouTube and TikTok only.
Checklist
1. Source is final
Producer
Recording is the version you would send to a customer
2. Rights
Producer
Speakers and B-roll are cleared for short-form
3. Pitch vs proof
Marketer
At least two clips are proof/Q&A, not only CTA
4. Standalone
Editor
Each clip makes sense muted, with captions
5. Title
Marketer
Every keep has a title that is not the webinar name
6. Claim check
Reviewer
No unsourced multipliers or “guaranteed” results
7. Thumbnail
Designer or marketer
Readable at phone size; no fake UI
8. Publish path
Publisher
YouTube and/or TikTok after approval
How to use
- Run the checklist before you generate clips, then again before publish.
- Mark Q&A and proof moments separately from pitch slides.
- If a clip only works with the slide deck, reject it for Shorts.
- Sales claims go through the same review as the landing page.
SaaS onboarding webinar, 42 minutes. Kept: 0:38 problem hook, 14:12 mistake + fix, 27:04 Q&A on SSO, 39:10 CTA to full recording. Rejected two mid-slide pitch clips that needed the deck. Titles written in review. Not a case-study metric page.
Limits
- A checklist is not legal advice.
- ROI calculators elsewhere are planning estimates, not this page’s claims.
- Instagram Reels direct publish is not live on HypeNest.
